Fitch warns AI market correction is a major global credit risk
In its Q3 Global Risk Outlook, Fitch flagged that the S&P 500 cyclically adjusted P/E has climbed near dot-com-era levels, and that $700B in 2026 capex by Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft creates a credit exposure if AI revenue growth does not follow. Fitch listed an AI correction alongside US-Iran uncertainty as the two top near-term credit threats globally.
